Why is this place always so chaotic? Everyone always seems like they’re not sure what’s going on. A little unsettling.
The earlier you arrive and follow the 3-1-1 rule, you're golden. These folks work hard and they are nice.
Security lines are abominable. Just think about it—we’re all be dead eventually, life is literally priceless, and one has to spend their finite life hours on queuing and listening to TSA yell at you.
Bingo Wi-Fi here! Terminal shuttle bus gates A29 & C71. Make sure you have plenty of time, as the buses run every 5 minutes and fill up fast.
When you arrive in the morning hold out for the Dunkin Donuts. There is one just as you come out of terminal A at the top of the steps from baggage claim for USAir. The also have breakfast sandwiches

The entrance is poorly marked, next to gate C71
Marta D.เมษายน 19, 2014I am honestly appalled by the lack of quality dining options in the C terminal. You'll wait in lines at the seated dining options, so the food court seems better... But be prepared for lukewarm food.

Pay for everything beforehand. Add all boarding passes & details to you iPhone or Andriod Mobile Wallet. That way you’re already checked in & ready to go. Makes life easier!
If you’re in the United terminal (C) and have a United credit card, you get a discount (and the occasional surprise free meal) at any of the food vendors after security.
The people traffic flows are all jacked during construction, but every single employee I interacted with was friendly and gracious.

A pain in the neck to get to from the city. Always traffic. And often long lines even in TSA pre check.

SkyMallกันยายน 17, 2010For one of the best steaks in all of New Jersey, stop by Gallagher’s Steak House near gate C120 at Terminal C. There’s a cool storefront refrigerator showing the steaks being “dry aged”.
If you want a decent IPA you have to go to Golden State Diner near gate 80/81. They have Sierra Nevada and Dogfish head.
In use the Wally Park lot just off the airport. Valet parking and a fast shuttle right to the terminal gate ends up being faster than the AirTran. The new Terminal A is very nice but be prepared fo walk. It’s big! Hopefully the train stop will be built soon. Heading to Philly? 3 options: 1) Amtrak (needs advance booking & $$$ close-in) - 1hr, 2) NJT to Trenton ($20.50) & transfer to SEPTA ($9.25) - 2hrs, 3) NJT to Trenton & Uber to Philly ($40++) - 1.5hrs- Remodeled United terminal has unique kiosk food perfecting stations just about everywhere. Not a bad place to fly thru.

Terminal A security checkpoint can be a little disorganized. Come early and avoid the alternative line they direct you to that is behind the first one... you can never guess how long the line will be.

Part of NYC airports, 20min away from Manhattan. There could be very long passport lines. There is free shuttles from/to hotels around the airport. It is not too big, just a few DutyFree area.
An alternative to JFK/La Guardia outside of NYC. Well served by shuttle bus services to Port Authority in the city.
Make sure you slow down as you approach and see what airline area it is for your parking/drop off/pick up... A, B or C or you'll have to exit and circle around again. ;)- My preferred airport to get to NYC, especially the west side of Manhattan. Frequent train service to NY Penn Station (journey takes ~25min).

The New York Cosmosมกราคม 7, 2014Before taking off for a regular season match in Edmonton, the boys from New Jersey's TSF Academy found the Cosmos and landed a great team picture w/the pro team. You never know who you'll find @ EWR.
Make sure to arrive early in advance, security lines usually take long (or longer than other airports).

Terminal C doesn’t have enough bathrooms but there’s more of a hidden one that is a good bet all the way at the end away from the entrance
Jonathan Jowพฤษภาคม 28, 2014It may not be always faster to do curbside checkin (at least for Southwest Airlines) because the employees are slower (also are contract workers). The inside line moves fairly rapidly.
Regardless of when you arrive at Term A, you will surely discover the incompetence of TSA and your fellow travelers.

The new A Terminal is nice and security is fast and efficient!
