If you like a gray 60ish look then this should be one of your favorite hangout places ;) Love the Dunkin' Donuts at the baggage claim in Terminal C. It's one of the hippest places on earth :)

Jersey city commuters - DO NOT take the AirTrain. Take the 62 bus instead to Newark Penn station and switch there to the PATH train.

Steve Dreyerตุลาคม 9, 2011I prefer the extra hour to get to atlantic city airport! Get in get out! Takes about 3 minutes to get through security and then get on the other side and enjoy doing whatever you like to do!
LC Aresกันยายน 5, 2014Not a bad airport except for going through security check again if you have a connecting flight in another terminal. The sky tram gets you there fast but what a bummer to do the TSA CHECK again

World Trade Center. Such a beautiful building. Never will forget those who were lost.
Definitely bettet than JFK. Flights run on time (usually), great food and bars. But NO free wifi.
Don't worry about the violent town its in EWR is one of the best airports. Much better than LGA and JFK and easier to get to and from.
Make sure to arrive early in advance, security lines usually take long (or longer than other airports).
United lounges are being upgraded. Food options getting better all the time. Have someone explain the order/payment tablets when you sit down.- E Fธันวาคม 28, 2013US Airways flights can be confusing. THERE ARE MULTIPLE "TERMINAL A" SECTIONS. Be careful-- not all screens are up to date since the new merger. Ask for help!!

If you arrive at terminal A and need to go to terminal C or vice versa, don't exit security or follow the signs to the train. Use the inter-terminal bus. Somewhat hidden. Ask for directions.- Remodeled United terminal has unique kiosk food perfecting stations just about everywhere. Not a bad place to fly thru.
If you're wearing a belt or any kind of metal, put it into your carry on before going through security. It will save you and your patrons so much time. Arrive 2hours early for intl flights!
Global entry = TSA pre security clearance = no line = no need to take shoes or jackets off = winning travel benefit = thanks Amex platinum!
This airport is pretty large and has a lot of great little places to eat once you get inside.

Say hello to the people who stand in front of the escalators in terminal C! They're always there. All levels.
Take a Xanax before flying out of here & give yourself WAY more time than you think you need. They put the snail in "snail's pace" around here.

Best by far of the 3 NYC area airports. Cleaner and less depressing than either JFK or LGA.
Dheeraj Vasishtaเมษายน 20, 2014The amount of whiny, entitled crybaby "tips" here is really sad. It's an airport, it's clean (enough), and it does the job. Go back to Tampa or Phoenix for your usual sterile cookie-cutter crap.
For Virgin America flights from the West Coast (SFO), it's so much easier getting to Manhattan from EWR than JFK. Although, it seems that flights to EWR cost a little more.
Super easy to get to. Security never has mad rush even on Monday mornings. Simple easy and quick. Love the airport.

To find the cell phone lot: follow the signs to the Marriott, and then follow the signs for the cell phone lot
Market Fresh by Gate 132 in Terminal C is now carrying full line of kosher Fresco sandwiches (meat)

If you travel on a weekend and are flying United, arrive early. They close the main security gate, so you wait in a long twisty line at the secondary gate.

Terminal C doesn’t have enough bathrooms but there’s more of a hidden one that is a good bet all the way at the end away from the entrance

Have Uber or Lyft pick you up at Departure and not Arrival, for easier travel. Also Covid test available in Terminal B
