Rotating breakfast menu of pancakes and fritatas. Drinks choices limited to vending machine so bring your own from outside. There's a slightly hidden area with beanbags that's really great to chill.
Glass-bottomed gondola is totally worth is because they'll give you the entire cabin to groups smaller than 6 people (or even alone / couples!) if there's nobody to share. And gets you express lane.
(From the menu) Interesting story behind how this place got its name: the owner's name is Thierry and his friends couldn't pronounce his name, so they called him "Hello, Yelo" and the name stuck. 😄
Owner of the place is lovely and generally goes around checking up on customers. Good selection of pizza and pasta, and they have a resident cat called Lisa as well.
Rice portions are fairly substantial so I'd recommend either the small or medium portion even if sharing. Three small butter tiger prawns are also enough to share among 1-2 people.
Breakfast options are pretty good for a cheap hotel / hostel: everything cooked to order, and a rotating menu on different days. Lunch / dinner is just frozen pizza served up and not that great.
One of the smoking rooms is near gate B4/B5 (often used by the short hop domestic flights).
You know a place is hipster when it's a cafe / bar / museum / restaurant / hotel with impractical drinkware and charcoal bun burgers 😄. The salmon charcoal burger is actually quite delicious.
Very hipster servings of coffee with mason jars, and I absolutely love their cold brew black coffee.
Great selection of locally-brewed craft beer available - one of the few places in Penang to actually have such a selection.
