Checkpoint 3 is almost always less crowded. Plus you pass a qdoba on the way to A and B gates!
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is a great coffee shop between A9 - A10 on the A- Concourse
one of the best airports. not a lot of shopping variety, but so many food varieties. i dont know who won't get their cravings satisfied before/after a flight

Good luck finding a good burger anywhere! There's one McDonalds hidden by United, an over priced Greedy Cow in S gates, Burger King at N, and maybe 2 out of the 7 bar/sit down restaurants that do.
After dealing with DFW Airport for a decade I really appreciate the simplistic design of Seatac. Only one simple terminal! While the after check in area still have the feel of a large airport.

Best spot to go if you have some time is to the end of any of the terminals, lots of free space and places to plug in
J Barrangerตุลาคม 2, 2022Stock up on food before you come because this is a pricey airport. Unfortunately, you can't bring drinks through security, but bring a water bottle. A 20oz bottle of water is +$4 each.
Resist the urge to buy a seafood sandwich to enjoy on your departing flight. No one appreciates the sweet scent of fish in confined spaces.
If you're picking someone up (esp. in the evening), arrange to pick them up at departures instead of arrivals to avoid a traffic jam. Pray for nice weather and a window seat on the plane to get an awesome view of Mt Rainier.

Try the new Lucky Louie in the food court. The teriyaki salmon is well presented and delicious.

Grab a seat in a rocking chair in the big food court area by the windows & watch the planes take off
The kids' playroom is awesome! I wish every airport had one! Also love the great 3D mobile sculpture in the main terminal!
Arrive early! Long lines abound. Long walks too... Especially if your flight leaves from the S-gates.

Tina Einkaufตุลาคม 7, 2012Coming from the link light rail, no need to walk all the way to the airline skybridge if you ate already checked in. It's faster to get to the less busy security checkpoint then get to your terminal.
Apparently you don't have to empty your pockets, take out your laptop, or take off your shoes anymore here!

Sea-Tac typically has longer lines and can be troublesome to connect through because of the 5+ concourses. Pretty clean though.
The regular screening lines are quite long, give it enough time. However, you can tell they're making an effort to get you through fast.
Anthony's chowder is awesome... If you have a beer with it I suggest something dark and Large! Cheers
Follow the fish on the floor in gates B. Press the water fountains for sound effects! Keeps young and old entertained!

Great, clean airport. Southwest security lines are usually short and quick. Food selection is not bad, considering it's airport food.
Awesome food to take on flights. Copper river salmon salads, Dungeness crab brekkie sandwiches, and many more Seattle favs
Invest in TSA Pre ✅ for $85. You'll speed through the security line in 5 minutes, get to leave your shoes on and your laptop in your bag- When moving from S-gates to B-gates, for B1 and B3 only it's quicker to walk from the A-gates stop on the train.

If you're on a redeye to JFK and come super early, try bag dropoff at 530p, even though check-in is 4 hrs max prior. Or just cruise the free wifi!

Jason Nietoมิถุนายน 20, 2013Like others have stated, the line to get thru security is ridiculous. I arrived early and it still took me 45 minutes to get thru. Plan accordingly or plan on missing your flight.
Check the food court area. It's just like being in a brand new high school and you don't know anybody; you're just searching for an empty spot. Make a friend if you got the time.
