Roadretro: Best Breakfast/Brunch in Chicago and surprisingly competitively priced. Inventive fares with fresh foods. Try their daily special you won't be disappointed - go for a walk down Andersonville after.

Roadretro: One of the best in town, certainly a diamond in the rough of Rogers Park. Granola-berkeley atmosphere, their small store has hemp bags, incense and travel guides... on Sundays NPR hosts a show here.
Roadretro: Great diner with lots of seats but has a Swedish twist. Egg dishes get two free sides; their cinnamon rolls are citywide famous and a requirement (you get two and you'll need to share, they are huge).
Roadretro: Midwest diner, very typical. Watch the Red Eye news rag on occasion for 10% off specials - good only weekdays but if it *isn't* Sunday then use it! Several locations throughout Chicago.
Roadretro: More Swedish than its popular Andersonville sister, Ann Sather, this place is also much smaller. They have *very* Swedish items on the menu. Could be cleaner.
Roadretro: Cute place they integrate the store and bakery directly in the cafe. Liberal. Browse the travel selection under the world clocks and eat the amazing carrot cake. Skip the floor seating - its dirty.
Roadretro: Popular neighborhood joint with no personality; food is good but a bit pricey. Wedged in the center of A'ville between Ann Sathers and M. Henry, which are better options.
Roadretro: Overpriced, slow service but a typical 50s diner. Conveniently off Clark Street as you enter the heart of Rogers Park. If you can, go a bit further north to the Heartland Cafe... a better choice.
Roadretro: They recently changed their menu to be Moroccan, it used to be organic style. Only crepes for breakfast so if you want something else you'll be disappointed.
