Founded in 1850, it's the oldest cemetery in Atlanta. It is the final resting place of many of Atlanta's settlers, builders & most noted citizens like Bobby Jones, Margaret Mitchell & Maynard Jackson.

In front of the MARTA entrance you'll find a lamp called the "Eternal Flame of the Confederacy". It is one of the original 50 gas lamps placed around Atlanta in 1855. Another one stands in Oakland.
