Home of Thinktank. Shortcut between Eastside City Park and Jennens Road (near Birmingham Conservatiore construction site). Giant Screen Cinema closed down a while a go. 6/8 Kafe also here now.
Normally £4 for adults. But free on 1st Sunday of the month when it is open. That cost just for house. Garden and Visitor Centre are free! Also a cafe here. Didn't think much of my hot chocolate!
You can get a tour of the city by one of those tourist road train things. Takes about 30 to 40 mins to go around. City also nice for a walk around. Was modern art gallery but I wasn't interested in it
Can get boats to the nearby islands in Lake Maggiore. Just visit Isola Bella and return to Stresa so you have time to look around the town. The town also has one of those tourist road trains.
Best to arrive by boat (hydrofoil but more expensive one way). Leave by bus (cheaper). A nice city on Lake Como with restaurants, cafes, shops etc. Nice old buildings. Museums (didn't visit).
Can get through Check-in quickly. Spend a few hours in departure lounge. Cafes, bars, shops etc. Arrivals after getting case can get to taxi rank pretty quickly.
Amazing country for summer holidays. Lakes in the north. Ancient ruins down south. Been 4 times in 10 years now.
Visited the upper city. Only saw lower city from the coach. Was once Venetian. Massive cathedral. Many piazza's. Also has a market. And one of those road tourist trains. Plus two furnicular railways.
Upside down Y lake in northern Italy. Great base for a weeks holiday. Como citynat the bottom. Can get boats or buses around the lake. Villa's all over and nice resorts / hotels.
Amazing 4 star hotel. Great for a weeks stay around Lake Como. Restaurant on 5th floor. 4 course dinners. Bar on 4th. Music in evenings in the bar. Amazing views of the lake!
Quite cold even in summer, so remember to take a lightweight jacket to wear while there. Prices in Franc's expensive, so maybe get food in Tirano before getting Bernina Express here. Nice views!
It's been here at Aston University for several years now. O2 WiFi. Close to the Science Park. Open 7 days a week (I think). Not far from James Watt Queensway and next door to a busy Tesco Express!
High Street entrance slightly moved due to the building of Kings Heath railway station. Paths lead to Moor Green Lane and Dad's Lane. Access to the back of Highbury Hall as well.
Mell Square and Touchwood are here. As is Solihull Station. Parks in easy walking distance of the town centre. Such as Malvern Park or Tudor Grange Park.
Short cut from the city centre to the science park offices. Plenty of open spaces. Canada geese all over the place! New student village opened in the last 3 to 6 years.
Four platforms. Chiltern Mainline between Birmingham Moor Street and London Marylebone. Cross Country also stop here between Manchester Piccadilly and Bournemouth. Local services on platforms 1 and 4.
You can use the Chiltern Railways free app to buy your tickets (and website). E.g. super off peak return to London Marylebone. You can pick up the tickets in the ticket machine at the station.
