Worth the visit, also pass by the prison museum across the road. Nice outdoor cafe seating, funky item shop & art! (Free for students)

This is where you should go if you wish to see some great moderns and contemporary art. Former Royal Hospital Kilmainham, this has great works by old masters such as Dürer, Goya, Rembrandt, etc.

Highly recommended. Permanent collection is very strong, and temporary exhibitions are usually excellent.

The main gallery is currently clised for refurbishment but the garden is well worth a visit. So is Sid Nolan's Ned Kelly exhibition in the New Gallery

Main museum is free...not very big. Be sure to explore the beautiful grounds.

The main building is closed until August 2013, you would have to settle for the small exhibitions.
