The experience - once you get tickets - is like waiting in line for Disney World’s most popular ride, with young folks shouting directions at you along the way. Persist. It’s all worth it in the end.
Went to a taping of Stephen Colbert, it was absolutely amazing, the highlight of my trip. The wait in line was a little long, especially in the rain but the show made up for it. Got 5 rows from front.
Everyone knows about this legendary theater, right? But did you know that Arthur Hammerstein built (the originally named) Hammerstein’s Theater in honor of his father, Oscar Hammerstein I ??
Arrived 2:45 to check in. With ticket #356, we were the first to be denied entry. Lesson: be there by 2 to check in. You don't have to have a printed ticket bc they search by last name. Bummer for us.
Now occupied by The Late Show with David Letterman, The Ed Sullivan Theater also served as the longtime home of its namesake, The Ed Sullivan Show until 1971.
Came here to see a taping of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert. It was awesome!! Unfortunately no phones were allowed in the theater so I got no pictures.
It was amazing being able to see the inside of this historic theater. A tip tho: luckily I knew ahead of time but make sure u dress warm Cus letterman likes his studio cold!
POTATOE? With this 1992 spelling bee gaff, VP Dan Quayle kissed his political future goodbye. The student involved later asked David Letterman, "Do you have to go to college to be vice president?"
Vir pra NY e não assistir um programa do Letterman não dá, né? Pensando bem, dá sim. Passe na frente, tire uma bela foto e depois assista no Multishow com legenda e tudo.
You will have to wait in line with a bunch of rowdy tourists if you want to see Letterman. But worth the wait to see the theater inside. Piece of history, no doubt.
