Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site

It's a great piece of history!! William Bent is my great-great grandfather. So proud to learn more about him!! My grandfather, Edward Bent Box, is the last survivor of the Ute's Bent's side.

A re-created buffalo-trading post, the fort was for years the only permanent settlement on the Santa Fe Trail between Missouri and the Mexican settlements.

Visit the gift shop. You can buy replica old dice and cards that they used to play with here.

Open 9a-4p daily. Costs $3/person to go in and tour it
