Architect B. Marcus Priteca's Coliseum Theater was one of the world‚'s first movie palaces, and opened in 1915 as Seattle's first theater devoted to motion pictures.
Completed in 1907, this Beaux Arts building housed U.S. Customs Service operations for the port of New York until 1973.
Construction began in 1890 and it was named after Andrew Carnegie, who paid for its construction. It opened May 5 1891 with a concert conducted by Walter Damrosch & composer Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky
