Lovely new spot from the Happiness Forgets crew. A bit more relaxed than their Hoxton home, with a vintage North American feel. Great cocktails, good beer list and pool tables. My new favourite local.
Pretty good tapas actually. And the mains menu is quite tasty too. Reasonable table wine by the carafe adds an additional authentic element which compliments the unashamedly Spanish decor well. Nice.
Not really a 'zoo' but there are deer, chickens, pygmy goats and some somebirds in the middle of the park
This is the BEST Turkish in London! Amazing salads, breads and meat. Massive portions and the lamb chops are sooooo good.
The lamb chops are amazing. If you want a variety though then you can't go past the mixed grill. Our family loves what we call the meaty bread as well. Not sure what they call it though.
There's a great Thai restaurant on Stoke Newington High Street which is a must for a pre-match dinner.
Fantastic, authentic Spanish food - lovely, friendly Spanish staff. If this was in Soho, or Shoreditch, it would be packed morning, noon and night.
Wonderful and wide selection of ales and ciders with friendly and helpful staff. Cosy space to keep warm and relax, next time I'll be back to fill stomach with food too.

The aubergine with coconut curry is amazing and also the beet cheera! This is the best Indian food I've ever eaten in a restaurant, and I've been all over India!

Best pizza in Stoke Newington and possibly in all London. Staff are all really friendly and welcoming.

Everything is amazing, gin cocktails are a must-try. They're super flexible with the food - they removed the pancetta and cheese from the dishes and placed them on the side for my omnivore company.

Tiny little market full of things you don't need, prams too big to negotiate the narrow spaces and people with money than sense. It's called a flea market but the prices are typical gentrified East.
