Londonist: Perhaps the pub with the most important historical connection in London. If you don't know John Snow's story, look it up now.
5. The Red Lion
Shaun Lawley: Great unpretentious cheap little Smiths pub. Gets rammed upstairs, but upstairs only opens at 6, so grab a seat, booth or table just before if you can & sit it out with good mates and great ales
6. Star and Garter
Dan Calladine: A good pub. Good for standing outside in the summer too.
