Walk past all those fools at Tartine, and get yourself one of the best almond croissants you ever had in your life. You didn't even know you liked almond croissants till now.
If you're in a rush at any terminal and the security lines are hella long, march over to International Terminal A and tell them the security guards told you to go this way, to catch your flight.
The almond croissants are a standout, even if you hate almond croissants. I recommend trying the fruit bars, too. The coffee is not remarkable, and almost not worth getting.

if you're waiting for somebody, wait upstairs in the rotunda, on the top floor. it's lovely up there.
Don't discount the thin-crust pizza; it's surpisingly good. also, order to go to avoid their unfriendly reservation & seating policies.
