My favorite time to visit is on Friday nights when it's quiet and you almost feel like you have the museum to yourself. One of my favorite paintings is here: "The Execution of Lady Jane Gray".
Always check the schedule to see what's happening. The El Buli Retrospective was phenomenal. Many great outings can be experienced here.
It's not just old stuffy portraits. Lots of younger, cool, hip portraits as well.
Do your research ahead of time to decide what's important to see. We saw the Pompeii Exhibit and thought it was extremely well done. Great lunch spots and it's worth the trip just to view the space.
Listed as the largest, best private collection in London, a must see if you are an art lover.
Love this place, space, art. One of my favorite lunch spots in the Modern Cafe as the view is spectacular. You can walk across the Millennium bridge after your visit and tour St. Paul's Cathedral.
