Go in the evening during the golden hour and watch the sunset. Then wait for the sky to turn dark and the city ligjts to light up. That way, you get to see 2different sights with one ticket.
Must see the busy Shibuya crossing from above. Go up to the 2nd floor of the JR station for a better view for free. Also, do visit the Hachiko statue.

A must see place for those who look for history, its stays right-top of the Tokyo metro map and very good option for an occommodation , I definitely recommend local food, snacks and seafoods.
Make sure you don't miss the lotus pond! The view is just magnificent! You can see the large fishes from the side of the bridge, and sometimes of you're lucky also the Mandarin ducks, very pretty!
On Saturdays if you are lucky you may see traditional Japanese wedding ceremonies (for free). They are lovely.
Beware of traps as in, check if there is cover charge first. Most are displayed but we went to one which wasn't displayed and paid $10 per person! If you are a tourist/girl, you get free cover charge!

A short walk from Shibuya & Harajuku, it's the BEST place to unwind & forget the stresses of city life. My favorite place to escape on summer weekends. Completely mixed crowd. Doesn't feel like Japan.
A lot of food places here, take your picks. It gets very crowded as both the locals and tourists all come here. The shops are all very small so prepared to be sardined.

Two minutes from JR Komagome station, this historic garden is especially beautiful in Autumn time with its colourful foliage. From late November, the trees are lit-up at night. YEN 300 entrance fee.
