    If you arrive early for your flight, don't go through security yet! Go upstairs to the airport bar. Sit outside. Watch the planes take off. Way sweet unlike anything I've been able to do @ any airport

    Like the other tips say, head up to the second level via the stairs and have a seat at the bar or go outside for lunch and a great view of the planes landing and taking off.

    TSA Staff is the friendliest I've encountered in all my travels. No lines, easy transition from dropping off your bags to boarding your flight!

    Free hotel shuttle to and from Presidio DLI Army Hotel. Needs to be prearranged but is worth the savings of $35 you will pay to a taxi each way.

    Good local non-Starbucks coffee at the Refreshment Center near check-in. The Carmel Fog Lifter is delightful!

    Love this airport - definitely worth the extra money, but i've found cheaper flights to the east coast than out of SFO!

    One of the smallest airports in the US! Be sure to grab something to eat before u depart at the restaurant upstairs!

    Parking in the lot right across from the terminal is free for the first 30 min. Great for seeing people off.

    The metal detectors at security are unbelievably sensitive. Don't even think if trying to keep your belt or watch on (I tried it).

    Way better to fly out of here than san jose - worth the extra, if it is more! (Cheaper for me this time out of MRY!)

    Flights to SFO from MRY are delayed 300 day a year on average. Connect elsewhere to get to and from MRY.
