    PDF boarding pass on your mobile works at the barriers. Don't believe them if they say you need a paper one.

    Avoid the biometric scanners. The queue can be a lot slower than the regular passport control.

    Do not take the easyBus into town. Probably the worst and least efficient airport shuttle in Western Europe. If this wasn't Europe, they would probably call this company a scam.

    I actually liked the north terminal. Everything was great in my experience. Really fast shuttle train between terminals. The Thameslink train is a nice compromise between the Express and the bus.

    Beware the forced 3 minute, almost circular, detour through the entire duty free rip off retail shop. No option to avoid that I could see.

    Queues for "other passports" arrivals are just awful unless you managed to run in with prefilled landing card. 40 mins in, barely walked the half of it.
