The Maryland Science Center is a wonderful place for kids. They have a wonderful sensory room with all sorts of hands on exhibits for the children. They also have a IMax 360 theater.

Opened in 1876, this is generally considered to be the third oldest zoological park in the U.S. This zoo breeds the greatest number of African black footed penguins.
Walk up to the Pagoda and fountain. It's my favorite spot in the park and has a great view of East Baltimore. In the summer you can go up in the Pagoda, it's a great view of all of Baltimore.
