In Glendalough, away from the main ruins, sits the Reefert Church and cemetery. Its name derives from the Irish Righ Fearta, meaning “burial place of the kings”.
A must see. Start early and hike the upper lake (4hours) or the lower lake (2hours) Breathtaking scenery. The monastic settlement and St. Kevin's Church are amazing.Do not leave Ireland w/o visiting.

Tucked behind the Castle so may not be easy to find but well worth a visit. Books and manuscripts are amazing, opt for the guided tour, it's free and a great experience.
I'd recommend this to anyone local or visiting, it's great to see the biodiversity Kerry has to offer and it's really peaceful! Prices are reasonable and the 'boat safari' was cool!
Lovely hotel with very friendly service. Don't forget to ask for a complementary glass of champagne at your arrival. Very nice restaurant with reasonable prices. Life piano in bar and and restaurant
