Aspen is nestled between two enormous mountain ranges, the Elk Mountains, and the Sawatch Range. These two ranges are home to some of Colorado's highest mountains, known as 'fourteeners' as their altitude is above fourteen thousand feet — there are many within a short distance from Aspen, but one of the most breathtaking to behold is surely Pyramid Peak. Impressive aesthetically, Pyramid and its neighbors the Maroon Bells are also some of the most difficult fourteeners to climb. We couldn't help but name a badass beer after this badass mountain. Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Forbidden as it was to brew in summer, a stronger beer – the Märzen – was brewed earlier in March. It would finally be served at the Oktoberfest, under the "Heaven of Bavaria". We have returned once again to the age-old recipe and recreated that gloriously smooth, honey-coloured piece of history from times gone by. And all is brewed with due reverence to the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516.

Our introductory brew, this anytime stout pours a rich, near black dark brown with a light tan head. The aroma of caramel and toffee invites the palate, followed by the roasty, coffee malt flavors that are surrounded by the not-too-sweet essence of cocoa nibs. Pliny the Elder is brewed with Amarillo, Centennial, CTZ, and Simcoe hops. It is well-balanced with malt, hops, and alcohol, slightly bitter with a fresh hop aroma of floral, citrus, and pine. Best enjoyed FRESH! That is why we make it in such limited supply. Actual bottling date is printed on each bottle! Where did we come up with this name? Back in the year 2000, our friend, Vic Kralj, who owns the Bistro in Hayward, California, decided to have his first ever Double IPA festival. Vic invited 10 breweries, 6 of whom (including us) had to brew something special for him since we had nothing that would fall under this style category. Vinnie had made a Double IPA at Blind Pig in 1994, but was not brewing one at Russian River Brewing at the time. He had an idea for the recipe, but not a name. After much research in beer books, brainstorming, and deliberation, we came up with "Pliny the Elder". Pliny, the man, lived in the first century- 23 to 79 A.D. According to our brewing references, he and his contemporaries either created the botanical name or at least wrote about Lupus Salictarius, or hops, currently known as Humulus Lupulus. That was a very early reference to an important part of any Double IPA! Pliny the beer has now become one of our flagship brews! Pliny the Elder was immortalized by his nephew, Pliny the Younger, who wrote about his uncle succumbing to ash and smoke during the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. while rescuing people. This complex beer was aged for nine to twelve months in bourbon oak barrels bringing out notes of tobacco, raisins, figs and undertones of dark cherry.

This is the oak aging beer which makes up the oak aged portion found in our Old Viscosity.

It emerges as a big, big juicy dessert of a beer with rich sweet blasts of chocolate and mocha with layers of dark fruit notes of black cherry, date and fig.

Our Anniversary Ale aged in Rye Whiskey Barrels.

Deeply roasted malt, dark fruits and dark chocolate are overlaid with juniper, spruce, mint, nutmeg and an array of other spices. Wood, molasses, dark toffee, peat and smoke are also noted.

The resulting beer is nearly black with roasted malts contributing complex flavors of licorice and black strap molasses balanced by lively herbal hop notes. The heavy foundation of the Wake Up Dead is enlivened by Zoetzuur's tart cherry flavor and acidity from its mixed yeast fermentation.

SeaQuench is brewed with black limes, an unsightly yet highly flavorful ingredient common in Middle Eastern cuisine. It's sharp, tangy, salty and citrusy yet somehow it maintains balance and drinkability. An incredibly complex and inspiring beer.

Long ago, Germanic mythology attributes the destine of all to the actions of the Norns. These three goddesses of fate are sait to spin, measure and cut the thread of life. Uror, the spinner, allots this wheat ale with a touch of coriander, salty bread character and refreshing crisp tartness. Aging this brew in Arta Tequila-like flavors or oak and smooth agave, which perectly complement is sour mashed sea salt ale.

The beer Cuvée des Jacobins is unblended old lambic, These oak barrels are called 'Foeders' in Dutch. It has a robust character but is beautiful and sophisticated with a full body and overtones of vanilla, dried cherry, stone fruit and cocoa. It is a complex, beautiful sour beer.

Mildy tart sour ale. Light bodied with a lactic/sour nose and a bit of sweet and sour in the finish.

IPA No. 5 is brewed with roasted chestnuts, roasted lentils, and Belgian-style candi sugar. Crystal and Santiam hops are used during the boil and for dry-hopping. Crystal hops bring the classic Northwest IPA pine and citrus notes while Santiam adds hints of tropical and stone fruits.

The Colorado Kölsch is a derivative of German Kölschs, which were created in response to the popular lager-based Pilsners being produced in the Czech Republic. That means it's a light crisp ale with a hint of sweetness. And very refreshing. This summer ale is a Belgian-Style Golden Ale brewed with a "Southern" infusion of Honeysuckle flowers. The first batch brewed at our production facility, n00b is an American IPA. Heavy dry hopping with Mosaic and El Dorado combine with restrained bitterness to create a juicy flavor and aroma profile. The hops and yeast work together to provide hints of blueberry and orange candy.

Jai Alai, a game native to the Basque region of Spain, is played on a court called a fronton. Jai Alai players attempt to catch a ball using a curved mitt whilst the ball travels at speeds up to 188mph! Proving they have a sense of humor the Spanish dubbed this game, with its ball traveling at racecar speeds, "the merry game." Tampa was once home to a bustling Jai Alai fronton but sadly all that remains of Jai Alai in the Tampa Bay area is this India Pale Ale that we brew in tribute to the merry game. The India Pale Ale style of beer has its roots in the ales sent from England to thirsty British troops in India during the 18th century.

Citrus, cedar, pine & candied-orange flavors, floral. with a lot of citrusy hop character.

This British-style IPA features citrus-filled aromas and a very malty foundation that marries nicely with the bold hop notes that emerge on the palate and ultimately dominate its lingering finish.

Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

The Grande Noirceur (Great Darkness) is a dense black beer with robust roasted flavours. Its imposing bitterness is balanced by the presence of complex malted, caramel notes. It takes its name from the conservative policies of mid-century Quebec. The Grande Noirceur was born at our Montreal brewpub in March of 2004.

Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney and wonderfully dry hoppy finish.

Little Mo' pours storm cloud black with a nice off white head. Chocolate, Coffee and light floral hop notes slowly ooze off the beer. The palate hits with chocolate sweetness and coffee notes balanced by a nice round bitterness.

Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats–a beer as refreshing as it is complex.

Brewed with traditional harvest grains. Surette is a provision Saison with a tart and vinous character from extended barrel aging.

It is a full-flavored, red-colored ale that uses a rarely-grown Willamette Valley Hop varietal known as Liberty Hops from fourth generation hop farmer John Annen of Annen Bros. Farm in Silverton, Oregon. Jeff and his team of brewers also used rye and caramel malt leading to a unique flavor profile; triple-hopped for bitter aroma and a unique dry-hopped character.

A traditional light hop flavor balances the sweet malty caramel taste. The addition of a pinch of roast barley during the brewing process lends a distinctive roast bite which is balanced by a crisp dry medium bitterness.

An American red as sweet as honey. Brewed with Nugget hops to add a taste of perfection to the deliciously-sweet, honeyed flavor.

A big yet somewhat humble brown ale, all the flavors and complexities are there but none really want to be dominant. This is a sizeable brown ale due to its 7.2ABV. An impressive brew.

Brewed at Samuel Smith's small, traditional British brewery with well water (the original well sunk in 1758 is still in use) , best barley malt, roasted barley, yeast and aromatic hops. Nut Brown Ale is relatively dry with a rich amber-brown color and nutty flavor derived exclusively from small amounts of dark malt.

The Rochefort 8 has a more tawny color and a more pronounced aroma, with an even richer fruitiness and a little more spiced dryness, like that of a cake, which gives a balanced finish to the final notes.

Chimay Red is noted for its coppery color which makes it particularly attractive. Topped with a creamy head, it gives off a light, fruity apricot aroma produced by the fermentation. The taste perceived in the mouth is a balance confirming the fruity nuances noticed in the fragrance. Its taste, which imparts a silky sensation to the tongue, is made refreshing by a light touch of bitterness. To the palate, the taster perceives a pleasant astringency which complements the flavor qualities of this beer very harmoniously.

La Fin du Monde has a brilliant golden color with vigorously effervescent foam. It is mildly yeasty with a complex palate of malt, fruit and spice notes followed by a smooth, dry finish.

Enchanting and enlightening, this golden, frothy ale boasts an intriguing herbal aroma, warming alcohol esters on the tongue and light, but firm body to finish. Exotic spices add subtle notes to both the aroma and flavor. Strong, sensual and satisfying.

Three Philosophers is a unique blend of a Belgian-style dark ale and Liefmans Kriek, an authentic cherry ale from Belgium. Cherry chestnut in color, it's opaque but not cloudy with full carbonation topped by a smooth, tan head. Flavors and aromas of roasted malt, molasses and brown sugar, dark fruits, brandied raisins and chocolate, Three Philosophers has notable sweetness with low hop bitterness. The mid-palate shows a soft malt center which gives way to a dry, warm, wine-like finish.

Dark with a full, ivory-colored head. It has a fruity aroma, full of complex flavors and excels because of its long bittersweet finish with a hoppy bite. It's a very balanced beer, with a full-bodied taste and a perfect equilibrium between malty, bitter and sweet.

This reddish colored ale has an intense vinous nose, is rich and satiny in the mouth with a long dry finish and deep rich fruity notes. Described as Satiny smooth in the mouth, deceptively light and dangerously drinkable.

This beer has a rich and complex malt flavor balance with a bit of spicy noble hops. The peach is very subtle but noticeable, with a dry finish from the champagne yeast in the 2nd fermentation in the French Chardonnay barrels.

With traditional root beer notes of sarsaparilla and vanilla, this is a craft beverage for someone craving something a little different.

Its typical flavor is characterized by a well-balanced, hardly noticeable sourness. This first flavor impression is soon followed by a second pleasant discovery: a slight bitterness followed by a hint of sweetness.

The brewery noted that Black Label should be more full-bodied and slightly less dry and that there is less old lambic in the Black Label than the Bone Dry.

Premium, unaged 100% blue agave tequila produced and crafted in the highlands and lowlands of Jalisco. This perfectly clear and crisp Blanco, has spicy undertones and a robust taste of fresh agave, hints of pepper, herbal notes and finishes with a fresh wave of heat followed by a balanced spice.

Grand Mayan Tequila is dark in color with the sweet aroma of nuts and a distinctive scent. The taste is extraordinary, very smooth and pleasurable to the palate.

The Tres Agaves Reposado has a brilliant golden color and a harmonious bouquet as a result of a painstaking and attentive Espolon Reposado Tequila production process.

Nose: Spicy and smoky nose with hints of light citrus and hazelnut. Palate: Spiced, fruity palate. Smoked almond, a little light peach juice and hints of potpourri and mixed spices. Finish: Tobacco and cinnamon on the tail.

Created with wheat as the secondary grain, instead of the traditional rye, Larceny offers intriguing notes of sweet corn, fresh bread, toffee, brown sugar and vanilla, accentuated by hints of cinnamon, roasted nuts and caramel. Notes of oak, baking spice and honey emerge on the finish.

This wonderful bourbon is bottled as close to barrel proof as possible. We add just a splash of our Kentucky limestone well-water when we empty the barrels for bottling. Thus, this whiskey is as smooth as any you will find. The more water you add to whiskey from its natural barrel proof to its bottle proof, the harsher it becomes. This 107 barrel proof seems to be just right.

Sweet notes of vanilla and honey. Initial palate is rich and flavorful, with touches of caramel, butterscotch, vanilla and toffee. Finish is mellow, and ends with a spicy kick.

The nose brings notes of clove, vanilla and old leather. The flavor balances fruit, honey and vanilla with a light spiciness. A long and warm finish.

Wild Turkey Diamond isn't deep, dark amber. In the glass it has a bright, light copper appearance. On the palate the whiskey has a silky texture, but the flavor is spicy and even peppery on the top, with a current of citrus sweetness underneath. The finish is long and warm, but curiously light. It is in the finish that the woody side finally comes to the fore, leaving a dry, toasty wood aftertaste.

This rye whiskey has a light brown, slight amber color in the glass, with almost no legs as I swirl the whiskey in the glass. The nose offers familiar rye whiskey overtone of oak and hints of cinnamon spice. The aroma is apparent, but it doesn't make a bold statement by any means.

Nose: Definitely a scotchy nose, salt water, old leather, and wooden notes, almost more cedar than oak. Very little in the way of any fruit to me. Palate: As it nears the height you get some sweet butterscotch and honied. Again, not much in the way of fruit though sweetness that kind of blends with the tobacco. Finish: The finish is my favorite part of this scotch. It's got a long, medium burn that opens up scotch smokiness, animal crackers, some green apple, and even pears.

Apple is the original flavor of temptation. Add a little cinnamon and spice, along with corn and neutral grain spirits, and you have an easy drinking shot of 70 proof liquid delight. Enjoy Apple Ambush hot or cold, straight up, or as a cocktail component. But beware of temptation...it might be an Ambush.

Straight wheat whiskeys can be almost too easy-going. Not chill-filtering adds teasing, subtle complexity. Gently sweet, with maple syrup, caramel, marzipan, and coconut cream, along with a dusting of vanilla, cinnamon, and green tea.

Complex notes of mint, clove, cinnamon, licorice root, pine nuts, and dark chocolate, with a surprising dose of gin botanicals throughout. A soft underbelly of caramel, sweet corn, and soothing vanilla provides an interesting counter point.

Nose: There's still cut grass and some fruit alongside delicious oily pot still character, but things are different here too. Is it sweeter A different sweetness perhaps, more wood spice plus chocolate liqueur. A shift of emphasis. Palate: Orchard fruits, great mouthfeel but the vanilla cream is less prominent, it's more fragrant (hoppy?) and floral on the palate with a touch of bitterness. Finish: Again familiar, but different, that different complexion of spice with chocolate from the nose lingers briefly.

AROMA: Opening inhalations encounter richly biscuity and malty/grainy/breakfast cereal aromas. Several minutes of air contact adds intriguing pepper/vegetal and spice notes. TASTE: Entry is balanced, focused, and integrated,slightly astringent and nicely fruity. Mid-palate has delicate tastes of marshmallow, brown sugar, oaky vanilla, and marzipan.

Bright gold with copper highlights; forward spicy rye aromas lead, followed by vanilla and fresh-sawn oak; round and weighty on the palate, with spicy sweetness and notes of vanilla and caramel; the finish is long and warm, with toasted coconut giving way to a tangy, almost bitter rye edge.

Dead Guy Whiskey has a fresh orange citrus aroma with a delicately sweet, rich malt complex. Medium-bodied, flavors of oak and honey give way to a clean vanilla finish.

A big nose of malted grain and sweet caramel cookies. Rich exotic dried fruit and oak spice explode out of the glass after a touch of aeration. On the palate this whiskey is medium bodied without any astringent notes whatsoever. Instead a rich round entry which exhibits dark coffee and sweet oak before transitioning to powerful baking spices on the finish.

Made from 100% Colorado rye, rye mash whiskey is both complex and extraordinarily smooth. Aged at least years in new American white oak barrels, Woody Creek Colorado Straight Rye Whiskey embodies distinct rye character with pronounced white pepper throughout the palate, notes of citrus peel on the nose, and oaky vanilla mid-palate.

Nose: Gristy, supple nuttiness intertwined with spices. Honeyed sultanas and grapes. Hugely inviting. Palate: Sweet with good body. The bourbon characters develop; gentle spice with a little vanilla, a hint of balancing peat lurking quietly in the substrata. Dried fruit too, combining with nuts, nutmeg, cinnamon, back into the bourbon notes - so well integrated. Finish: Spicy, slightly drying, still sweet.

Nose: Delicate sweetness one expects from Balvenie. Honey and dried mixed peel. Palate: Husky sweetness. Barley lies on a bed of juicy ripe fruit. Finish: Climaxes with barley and bourbon spiciness peaking most spectacularly.

Nose: Rich Sherried spices, with a good helping of chocolate-coated raisins and Sherry-dipped plums. A refreshing burst of honeydew melon develops with a drop of water. Palate: Oily malt, soaked in Oloroso and given a good crack of black pepper. Hints of winter spices and thyme honey. Finish: Gingerbread, old oak, orange oil and juicy raspberries.

Small-batch gin, combines local juniper berries and botanicals to bring you layers of taste. Wild juniper berries are hand harvested. Clean finish of fennel.

Clear color. Faint, attractive aromas of nougat, frosted cereal and cream with an even, bright, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a tingling, engaging, medium-long marshmallow, pepper and minerals finish. A spunky vodka with a creamy middle and nice tingle.

Neutral aromas with hints of grainy dough, mint cookie, and minerals follow through on a round, supple entry to a dry, oily medium-to-full body with a touch of sweet cream. Finishes with a smooth, delicately spicy, talc accented fade. Very clean.

This rum tastes exceptionally rich given its color, or lack thereof. It is the rum equivalent of white chocolate, with a buttery, sugary, sweetness and distinct milk cocoa flavor. A good swath of earthiness and funk cuts through just enough to keep it from being too cloying.

Notes of honey, coffee, vanilla, and oak are evident in the body and finish. Richly flavored, with floral, almond and caramel.

Orange/red color; herbal aroma with a touch of citrus; bitter-sweet flavor, slightly medicinal with herbs.

We achieve this by steeping a flight of bitter roots in our spirit, followed by rose petals, elderflower, chamomile, and honeysuckle, which lend depth and a complex finish. These ingredients will rest for weeks before they are drained and racked into Chardonnay barrels for months of aging. Every barrel is hand bottled, to preserve the integrity of the flavor and aroma.

Straw-colored wine with brilliant reflections. The aroma is fruity; reminiscent of pear and citrus with a slightly floral bouquet. The wine is fresh and crisp with apparent apple and peach flavors. This gentle-sparkling wine typifies the traditional wine-maker's Prosecco, fermented in the Charmat method to maintain the fresh fruity quality of the Prosecco grape.

Pale straw yellow with a green tin; floral with citrus aroma; light body, crisp acidity, medium length finish, good quality wine.

Pale straw in color with notes of mango, citrus blossom and banana in the nose. On the palate a medley of tropical fruit unfolds into tangerine, mango, grapefruit and banana flavors. These tropical notes continue throughout the long and lingering finish.

The Dark Horse Rosé boasts a refreshingly dry style that explodes with flavors of fresh strawberry, raspberry and citrus, blending with hints of minerality and floral notes, all racing toward a bright, crisp finish.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is brilliantly focused with aromas and flavors of bing cherry, black cherry, raspberry, and blackberry with notes of herbs, bay leaf, roasted coffee and subtle dark chocolate. The wine has excellent concentration and a full mouthfeel with gripping tannins and balanced acidity.
