In Inca times the plaza called Huacaypataun was twice as large as it is today. It was the Heart of Inca Cusco and remains the heart of the modern city.

The Reserve, located 235km south of Lima, is the first marine conservation centre of the country and one of the most important in the world.

The main reason to come to Nazca is to take an overflight to see the ancient Nazca Lines. Be prepared for a flight with a lot of turns, and they supply spew bags if you need it. Flight times 40 min!
Old Nazca burial place discovered in the early 1920’s. The mummies with their cloth & tapestries are perfectly preserved thanks to the very dry climate. Most of the mummies are over a 1000 years old.
