This place is one of the old gems of new york. Get a beer and Fried Oyster po-boy for lunch off the bar menu.

The pan roasts are the best things on the menu. Skip the sandwiches.

the long island shinnecock oysters are great (early sept 09). also, oyster pan roast w/ six points righteous rye on rainy day.

Emily Dangพฤศจิกายน 6, 2011The Manhattan clam chowder was hearty and delicious. Service was horrible- our waiter didn't like us sitting in the main dining area since we were only eating apps and drinking. I'm not coming back.
Try their Totten Inlet Virginicas. Consistently good. Clam Chowder is splittable for 2.
