The Botanical Garden originated after a public meeting in June 1833 following a request from 80 local residents concerned about the lack of public open spaces in Sheffield!
The Winter Gardens are right next to millennium Galleries, so have a look in there while you’re around.
Spend some time watching the rescued lions basking in the sun - amazing to see the big cats happy in their new home!
