- Darren Davisธันวาคม 23, 2016Gold Coast Airport is quite a way from the tourist hubs. To avoid hefty taxi fares, take the 777 express bus to Broadbeach South then light rail to Surfers or Southport. It runs every 15 minutes.

Birger Halfmeierกุมภาพันธ์ 2, 2013If you're planning to use public buses and trains on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane you can buy a Go Card for $5 from the tourist info counter. Off peak Trips are much cheaper than with paper tickets.
All flights (I think, well at least virgin) have stairs to the plane after a walk on the Tarmac. Also have front & back stairs. Waiting areas are more like a food court than a gate.
