Go to Cartel and have an iced toddy. The way iced coffee is supposed to be brewed.
Great cappuccinos. Great place to hang out and people watch on the weekends. Get there early because it fills up quick.
Cash only. Great coffee served w organic milk. Go in after 3 p.m. for a 1/2 off pastries. Quiet, great for studying.
The best coffee downtown and they host poetry readings, and community events. Live music on First Fridays.
Their smoothies are delicious. Try the strawberry-banana and enjoy the scenery at the Civic Space Park.

The house blend tea is nice (I prefer it iced) : Enough flavor to distinguish it from a basic black tea, but not over-powering.

Cool place that suffers from being a little too hip for its own good. Expect counterintuitive ordering systems, hidden menus and a lack of uncomfortable seating along with excellent food and coffee.
This "hipster" java joint is buzzing, noisy, busy, crowded, and rushed. the best time to be here is early morn to watch dawn break.
You might get stuck in the driveway as you pull in - if you're parking to go inside, it's worth waiting a few minutes to get into a spot. Just have some patience, folks.
