There’s not much to dislike about Darling Coffee. The coffee is great and the pastries are to die for. And a great place to sit and relax. And on Saturdays the bake stickie buns. Delicious and yummy.
Love their cappuccinos and a great selection of food. Lots of natural light which is nice and seating space. FYI they have a no laptop policy on the weekends for a portion of the day
This is, hands down, one of the best coffee shops I've ever been to. For a year-and-a-half and treated me like family and I've never missed a coffee shop more.
Get a seat by the window (or in the window!) if you want to do some extensive reading. This coffe shop is spacious and inviting. You can easily carve out a space for yourself.
Get a pastry. It doesn't matter which, they're all delicious and for less than you'll pay virtually anywhere else on the island of Manhattan. And the coffee's pretty awesome too.
They bake 20 of their amazing home made baguettes a day, each morning. They'd love to bake some in the afternoon for people to take home for dinner. An amazing idea.
They have coffee tastings on Thursdays circa four pm. Free try some new coffee. They also treat it like a wine or whiskey tasting. Learn something new about coffee?
From the website: "Come Thursday afternoons at 4:00 for free weekly coffee cuppings, and sample blends from growing regions including Ethiopia, Sumatra, Honduras, Mexico and the Dominican Republic."
