If you keep a bucket list of places to visit before you die, Geirangerfjorden absolutely belongs on there. If you don't, this is a great place to start

There's a shuttle, but the hike is much more rewarding. When you get to the top, you'll be greeted by amazing views of Alesund, the surrounding islands, and the Norwegian Sea

As far as hostels go, this one is superb. Private rooms, amazing views of Romsdalsfjord, delicious all your can eat breakfast, and the bus to Trollstigten & Geirangerfjord leaves directly from here
Kayak around the corner, opposite the Seven Sisters waterfall, and look for a single orange buoy and ropes to come ashore(a bit tricky). Intense 45 min hike. The best views of Geierangerfjord await
