If you are planning to buy a phone sim card: go for spark. They have better coverage in remote areas and offer you 1GB for free everyday at their Hotspots! (Every phonebox is als a hotspot)

If you need to recharge your gadgets, go to food court area. All the island benches have plenty of power points and also enjoy free wifi access (for 30 min only)

From 20:30 till 5:00 you can sleep at the airport lounge, just have to pay 5dlls and even have showers... Good way to save a hotel night at the city if you are leaving early.

Once you passed the passport control, you get everything you need. Good place to lay down, water tank and free chess. By the way, if you want to stay overnight you cant get into air lough before3am.

I would vote christchurch airport as one of the best airports in the world. Nice and comfy waiting area, plenty power outlets and free wifi.

You can stay overnight at Air Lounge, 10nzd safe & comfy! They will wake you up at 5am.

Vastly improved domestic terminal over the claustrophobic nightmare that existed before. The regional turbo prop gates are on the ground floor and the jet gates are upstairs.

If you are planning to catch a bus to the city and would like to save some money just walk 100m from the airport bus station facing Antarctic center and take that bus stop. You will save 50%

Small airport. Quite busy. Don't arrive before 3hrs before your flight as checkin won't be open. Passport control also closes during off-peak hours. One oneworld lounge.

We were going to flight in the early morning, they let us sit on the chilly chair and near by the gate with cool wind blowing. Disappointed!

Don't park here. The money grubbing bastards have shortened the free parking and put prices up. Just charged $6 for 13 minutes pickup parking!

If you arrive from international destination and you want to sleep here turn right towards intn'l check-in.... The seats are like beds!!!

If youre thinking of staying overnight here in case you have an early flight then youre screwed. Airport staff wont even let you sit on the floor! Wtf?! Is that a security/safety risk ?

If your plane is very early in the morning, you can wait during the night at the Air Lounge, for 5$. There are bean bags to "sleep". You won't be allowed to stay in the airport otherwise.
