The matcha latte was as tasty as it was beautiful and the avocado sunrise gave me enough energy to go on a 25 mile bike ride. My BF had the prosciutto panini but it was too good to share a bite w/me.

SUPERB! Matcha heaven. Matcha latte (iced + hot) is a must try. Plenty of delicious light food options to choose from such as their avocado toast or miso butter toast.

Is matcha the next big thing in nyc? Then Chalait got it right. Serving counter culture coffee too along with selection of teas. Airy & light woody interior. Right off the Christopher street station.

Right now they only have black label donuts (from Brooklyn) on Fridays and Saturdays. There's a green tea creme brûlée donut I had wanted to try that's supposedly the bees knees

Try a smoked salmon tartine with greek yogurt, muesli, cucumber + avocado on a delicious black bread, grab an iced matcha latte, there's nothing better for a healthy quick meal.

Really yummy things coming out of this place. Apparently they're still testing new things for the menu, but their toast is pretty spot on. Also try their matcha concoctions.

while the matcha espresso drinks are the specialty here, the matcha hot chocolate was a fantastic alternative. smooth and rich with just the right amount of matcha. it was delicious =9

Matcha latte with soy $5.45 incl tax for small 8 oz. Good quality matcha and not too sweet. The flavored iced ones sound refreshing too.

With some heritage from midtown's Little Collins, these guys know how to make a good flat white. Or try something new and get a Matcha Latte or Matcha Hot Chocolate.

Matcha latte and cortado tasted very similar - both delicious not matcha-y enough. Banana bread moist with lots of walnuts. Be prepared to stand around on a Sunday aft, not enough seats.

Super cool and friendly staff. Great taste in music. Food is fantastic. Beautiful design. No wifi, but outlets + foot rest at window counter + good ppl watching views.

Top notch cortado (espresso version). Food looks amazing, but it's wholesome simple fare that's easy to make at home. Maybe worth the $$$ if you're in a hurry?

The matcha hot chocolate is good if you want something without a strong matcha taste. The matcha iced tea was refreshing with a strong flavor!

It confuses me that @ a cafe with 1st come 1st served seating, i'm told by the mgr to vacant the only two seats at the bar to make room for a party of four ... I guess we'll b taking our drinks to-go.
