Confections

We have a wonderful variety of confections available at our shop or by order, from handcrafted chocolate truffles & freshly dipped, chocolate-covered strawberries to rich dark chocolate fudge & cherry almond bark.

Truffles

All of Bittersweet Confections' gourmet truffles are handmade right here in New Orleans, using cream & butter from our local dairy. We use only the freshest ingredients, such as lemon zest, fresh ginger root, & freshly brewed coffee, to make our handmade chocolates. Each truffle is hand-scooped, shaped, & finished w/ one of our signature garnishes.

If you feel like something savory & sweet, these treats are perfect for you. Crunchy, salty pretzels dipped in delicious Swiss chocolate make this a great snack for kids & adults alike! An excellent choice for parties.

Molded Chocolates

We handmake a variety of molded chocolates, using high-quality dark chocolate, milk chocolate, & white chocolate. Our designs include flowers, crawfish, aligators, & hearts. Our most popular molded chocolate is our Dark Chocolate Fleur de Lis, which we often decorate w/ food-safe paints to look like brass or silver, creating a gorgeous luxury sweet.

Dark-Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

We hand-dip the freshest Louisiana berries in dark, milk, or white chocolate & garnish the treat w/ a contrasting chocolate design.

White-Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

Succulent Louisiana strawberries are washed & hand-dipped daily & drizzled w/ a contrasting dark chocolate to ensure that you have only the best berries enrobed in the finest Swiss chocolate. A very sweet treat!

Chocolate-Covered Graham Crackers

Pâte De Fruit

Intensely flavorful, pâte de fruit consists of real fruit puree rolled in very fine sugar then dipped in delicious, high-quality dark chocolate.

Pecan Fudge

Our delicious, nutty fudge contains the finest chocolate & sweet cream from a local dairy & is packed w/ Louisiana pecans.

Nonpareils

Nonpareil means "having no equal; peerless." Our peerless nonpareils are drops of high-quality dark, milk, or white chocolate coated in tiny, crunchy sugar candies.

Turtles

A whimsical & cute confection! A body of chocolate-coated caramel w/ legs, head, & tail of toasted pecans, these confections are as cute & satisfying as they are delicious.

Carrot Cake

Bittersweet Confections uses fresh, grated carrots & chopped pecans in this hearty, moist layer cake, which is filled & topped w/ a luxurious cream cheese frosting & garnished w/ crumbles.

The Bittersweet Cake

Our signature cake! This decadent dessert is made of layers of rich, moist chocolate cake & is filled w/ a creamy chocolate mousse, then drenched w/ a deeply dark chocolate ganache & embellished w/ our handcrafted chocolate truffles: Pure ecstasy.

King Cakes

Baked fresh in our kitchen, our brioche pastry dough is sweetened w/ cinnamon sugar. We offer both traditional (unfilled) cinnamon brioche cakes & cakes filled w/ chocolate cream cheese. One cake serves 20. Traditional (unfilled) cakes are $20 plus tax; filled cakes are $25 plus tax.
