Since it's re-brand Kissaten has become a staple of the neighborhood. Offering Stumptown coffee, decent pastries & a great lunch/dinner menu there's a lot to love. Plus the staff is great!
Jin Ramen has been one of the most popular restaurants in the area since it's opened. Reason being the ramen is delicious, the service is efficient & the price is right!
A transplant from Syracuse and a long-time NYC fave, this spot has great BBQ food and a pretty sizable offering of great beers. They're great for groups and now have an event space for parties.
Great family spot. The flan used to always hit it out of the park, but lately it's been hit or miss. However, the homestyle Cuban classics always win!
Great comfort food at this lone survivor from the Kitchenette team that was recently driven out of their popular Tribeca hub for rents too damn high! I wouldn't get delivery, but I would go eat in!
Never been to the actual restaurant, but if I need to cure my hangover woes I turn to Mofongo del Valle every time! The roast pork mofongo is the best, but you really can't go wrong!
I love this place! Love the smiling owner and my favorite drinks: Lemon Lozenge when sick, Hangover Formula, and then The Gift, Harlem Star and UPS for light lunches. The Green Apple is very popular.
Great brunch spot. Cute place with good food and coffee. Can get very crowded, but it's still a nice vibe, although a little tight with neighboring tables.
In the last couple of years I've been more about CSAs and Farmers Markets, but if I go just to a supermarket, I choose fairway. Great selection & value, and their coffee is some of the best around!
This is a little further south than my other spots, but if I want a bagel, this is where I go. most people flock to Absolute Bagels, but those people are idiots. This is a CLASSIC NYC bagel.
I'm happy to have a Duane Reade in the hood for toiletries and things, but when I need to fill a prescription or speak to a pharmacists I trust these guys. Small & classic NYC pharmacy, brings me back
A little more upscale than its surrounding spots, but the food is a little bit more high-end, AND given the views of the river, it makes sense. Nice spot for a special occasion or a date. Good service
Great local bank, with friendly service that makes you feel like a person and not a number. Plus, the bank as a whole has great philosophies about its staff and its money. Happy to bank with them.
