While the crowds line up to see Old Faithful blow, go to the back to see more great geysers. Inside tip: You don't need the benches. Use that waiting time to see the other surrounding geysers.
Consider catching Old Faithful at night. It's still spectacular, and the crowds will be much thinner. Or consider visiting Yellowstone in the winter where your only other companions may be bison!
Make sure to check it out, but be aware of the massive crowds. It goes off every 2 hours, give or take 10 minutes. There is a phone number you can call for the schedule.
Old Faithful is the spot everyone hears about. It's prepared for the crowds as there is a huge watching area. There's plenty to do and eat around the area.
If you don’t want to battle the crowds in the viewing area you can watch from inside the visitors center or on the boardwalks near the honeycombgeyser.
Old Faithful goes off about every hour and a half. Get to the boardwalk about 15-20 minutes before it goes off for a better view. It gets CROWDED here.
Big nothing. Times ago it blows higher. Times over..Lodges build...Merchandising Stores r running... There are other ones with more power! Even the Basins are better!
