Fill your tummy up with many varieties of Dim Sum served in a more traditional style where they allow you to see before you ask for it coz they push the freshly cooked Dim Sum around in push carts
With decor and staff uniforms reminiscent of a 1980's Hong Kong triad film, Red Star is one of Singapore's best known dim sum restaurants. A little overrated, it still deliver good Cantonese cuisine.
Not the best dim sum but the best vibe of having one in town. Upon entrance, turn right and along the row of chairs is the que to bring you to reception where someone will seat you.
Food was normal. There was a lot of filling in the liu sa bao. Chickenbanana not bad. The duck with seafood below dish nice. Come early. Crowded after 10am..
Love the dim sum here, but hate how some people stall the dim sum trolleys as soon as they come out of the kitchen. Wait your turn please. We are hungry too!
Red Star is a tradition n a history. Not all selection r fantastic, but a generally gd place for old time's sake n family bonding.. Yum cha and sek dim sum, best family moments :)
The authenticyum cha experience: queue for an hour to get in, order your dim sum from push carts, well worth the wait! The service staff treat you like an old friend.
Fairly little people around on a Saturday (the day I was here at around 1030), can be quite loud like any Dim Sum Restaurant and people can be quite rude to grab the food from the pushcarts.
Dim sum was decent but don't expect the service level to be on par with the quality of the food. Can be crowded on weekends. Best to come before 9.30 am.
Food was awesome, many years ago that is, super disappointed with the porridge, instant porridge could taste better! Mangoprawnpastry wasn't prawn, was faux crabmeat. Liusabao was plain bad. Badbad!
Red Star serves authentic cantonese cuisine including specialities... such as America duck, Fried Yam Pots filled with Scallops, Prawn and Cashew Nuts.(แสดงเพิ่มเติม)
