@Alameda Cineplex, my boyfriend and I love this theater. Originally built in 1932, but closed in 1979 because of declining sales. Reopened in 2008 beautifully restored to its original glory.
The stunning art decoarchitecture alone is worth the price of admission. Take some time to speak with the docent who is almost always taking tickets to learn more about the history of the theater.
Free parking in the lot around back after 5pm. Great historical theater. Right by Park Street so you can walk around for food before or after the movie.
Great theater. Only sullied by the fact that the owner is a dickhole of the highest caliber. The kind of guy skeleton and Ming the merciless would go to sub-par strip clubs with.
