Blanco tequilas are a clear spirit which may be barrel aged for no longer than 60 days. Their aromas often display clean cooked agave w/ hints of citrus. The flavor of blanco tequilas are typically very smooth w/ slight fruity notes.

This classification was invented in 1962 by Casa de Herraduara, & means “rested.” Reposado tequilas must be barrel aged for a minimum of two months. These tequilas will typically produce a more full bodied & complex aroma & taste.

Anjeo teuquila must be aged for a minimum of one year typically in american oak barrels. This aging process brings depth & rich amber colors to the tequila. The aroma & taste will be full bodied & perfect for sipping.

This is the newest classification in tequila identity. It was adopted by casa de herradura in 1990 w/ the introduction of selecion suprema. Extra anejo tequila is achieved when the tequila is aged for a minimum of three years in oak barrels the aging process adds a deep smokiness & whisky quality to the tequila.
