Try the Sonora (Chile Colorado)! Lean pieces of bite-size beef braised in a delicately puréed sun-dried peppers and herbs sauce. Rings of raw (or sautéed) onions on top. Amazingly tender!
The Serrano & Pollo Negro are two of my favorites. Also, the pomegranate margarita is delicious but very sweet. That being said, I haven't had a margarita or a dish here that has not been great.
Cheery family-friendly TexMex set back from El Camino Real (look for Statue of Liberty in front). Gets crowded / limited parking but is well worth the stop. Huge margarita / food menu.
Good atmosphere. The Mole was authentic and savory. The Triple X drink was excellent. Peach Maragrita was was too sweet an heavy and was overpowered with a nectar purée sourly sweet taste.
Sabana Invierno is so good it has been my staple here for years! Also they do serve some mezcals but they are not on the drink menu so if you like that sort of thing all you have to do is ask :).
Nice cozy atmosphere and great food! To top it off the al sol margaritas were amazing! Highly recommend for anyone looking to get away from mainstream Mexican cuisine.
Pretty good Mexican food. I enjoyed everything I ate including the Sonora, pulled pork with adobo sauce. The diosa de la sol margarita was awesome! The service for our party was pretty good.
The Guajillo chicken was delicious -- tender and flavorful chicken. They also had Negro modeloon tap! Order it with lime. Guaranteed to make your day better.
The Sopa Azteca is outstanding!! Order the cheese and tortilla strips on the side - you'll probably have soup leftover (and soggy tortilla strips aren't as tasty as crunchy ones!).
