All year round fun. Hot weather, grab freshly madepopsicles and hang out around live music. Cold weather, grab hot curries or soups to warm up. And the products are always in the best shape.
The best produce in the city. Get samish baycheese, heirloom tomatoes, fresh berries (Hayton or elsewhere), Fuji apples, duck eggs (Sea Breeze farm). Make sure to get Ellenos and a poem!
This neighborhood immediately to the west of the UW campus attracts students and locals for shopping, snacking and strolling. University Way (formerly 14th Avenue) is usually referred to as "The Ave".
Get there early and bring cash. Walk around first and find the best price/freshness of what you are looking for. Bring your ken bags too. Happy eating!
Get meat from Skagit River Ranch (get there right at 9 AM for farm-fresh eggs), get salmon from Loki salmon, and get fruit and veg from any of the organic produce farmers!
Don't listen to other tips, if you want to support local farmers and consume delicious organic food you are accepted here. I've never felt judged here.
