Space. Gardens and walks. Rooms and wonderful ‘tainted’ history. Gorgeous building and good service. Highest quality food and drinks. Expensive but perfect for that special occasion.
Beautiful grand country house and gardens that are worth splurging on to stay at especially if you can get the 3 nights for 2 deals they offer. Restaurant is a let down as food is boring and pricey.
The French dining room at Cliveden House was used in Sherlock Holmes (2009) as Irene Adler's room in The Grand Hotel, where Holmes is drugged and handcuffed naked to the bed.
Price doesn't guarantee service, it's slow & underwhelming.Wonderful location much let down by mediocre food & disinterested staff.Make it worth your while & go for a lovely walk along the Thames path
