Saw this place in Food & Wine's top 20 seafood dives. Very good. Definitely get the Yellow Lake Perch. Shrimp were also very tasty.
You may not know it but Fox Hills is a great stay and play value option with the National course being top notch. Nothing fancy in the resort here but what else do you want besides golf & beverage.
I always go to Metro. They are very friendly and knowledgeable in their packed humidor always willing to help. Stop in for a beer and a smoke too.
I'm not a burger-type guy. I found Jakes to be very good, reasonably priced, and quite good. You do have to order sides separately but one bowl of onion strings was enough for the table.
This was my old haunt back in the !-town days... classic place with excellent food.
Good City has a great vibe and now a super cool rooftop spot. The beer has been a little hit and miss the past few times but there is some tremendous stuff. Check it out.
