Tourist place with a Shinto shrine just after a walk through souvenir stalls. Expect crowds, smiles. Positive experience as we knew it's a very popular place (especially weekends/holidays)
Everything is truly good. It's one of the best restaurants in Japan, world known. You have 4 chefs, each one is serving up to 4 people maximum. So imagine a 12 people room, cozy but really classy.
Came here at 6:45am on a Tuesday and waited for 15 mins only. Around 20 seats in the restaurant so come early! Def get the omakase - the sushi is really fresh!! 👌🏻😬

One of the most famous and popular restaurant for Yummy and unpretentious gyozas. Opens at 11.30am but there's a line forming outside as early as 11.15am. My favorite is the fried gyozas with garlic.

Stunning. No menu. Bartender gives you a unique drink with a story (Yuzu from his neighbors trees, vintage & rare Italian bitters, etc). Start with a simple gin and tonic (it's like an airy cloud)
Delicious pork cutlet (katsu). I'd say one of the best. You'll have options on the breed of pork. From Kurobuta (Black Pig) to Chamiton who have green tea as part of their diet. Superb & tasty meat

This is less of an izakaya, more of a 1 Michelin star restaurant, that has adopted izakaya format, just for the sake of it. Gaijin infested and expensive, yet still totally worth it!

The food is fantastic. There were a few of us and we all tried different things, all of which were amazing. I can really recommend the prawns in creamy garlic chilli sauce.
