The line looks long, but moves super fast. It's awesome ordering from the tablet and the sushi comes really quick. Loved the nigiri and you definitely have to try the hamburger nigiri.
A good place for a cheap light lunch, with friendly staff. The lunch set seems to change, but we got deep fried tofu, salmon, a vegetable dish, rice and miso soup for ¥800.
Amazing steak, cooked teppanyaki-style in front of you by a chef. Try the Kobe beef (¥13,800) - it's well worth the money. We got in at lunch without a reservation, but I think we got lucky.
Nice sushi, run by (I think) some kind of fish distributor or wholesaler. Ask for anything you don't see on the belt!
You can rent some very well-kept pool tables by the half hour here. You have to buy a minimum of one drink per person.
The speciality here is beef tongue - chewy, but still nice. A good place to go if you're about to catch the Shinkansen somewhere, as it's in the basement of Tokyo station.
Good place to come for kaiten-zushi (on a belt) if you're in the middle of Shibuya. They do good tempura, too.
A mock British pub, in the heart of Shinjuku. Pretty much a carbon copy of a Wetherspoons in the UK, and an amusing place to come for a drink or two.
An amazing alley full of izakaya, where each spills over to the next. Seems like you can order from whichever one you want, regardless of where you sit. Watch out for the hot chicken wings!
Decent place for tonkotsu ramen underneath the arches of Shibuya station.
