The University of Texas at Austin: The statue of civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr., was completed and unveiled in September 1999. It is the second statue of the civil rights leader to be erected on a college campus.

The University of Texas at Austin: Duren Hall houses 576 students. The facility was named for Almetris “Mama” Duren, a housemother and mentor to young African-American students during UT’s first years of integration.
