This is a long narrow pier that jets out into the Bay. Walk down for gorgeous views of the Bay Bridge and reverse views of the Transamerica Tower. Benches line the boardwalk.
Pre-made sandwiches and salads. The staff is always cheery, and the close proximity cannot be beat. I recommend the Mandarin Chicken Salad or Mr. Williams Sando.
Numerous food trucks set up the LAST WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH. Most are cash only, and the lines can be epic. But on a nice day, this is a cool place to go chill and catch up with our hip neighbors.

The line will be long, but the concept is fun. An all organic salad bar, you can pick from pre-made combinations, or create your own unique salad. Try the Maui or the Bachelor.
Tlaloc offers fresh organic ingredients grown at their own farm in Sonoma County. The mole is the best in the area, and their seafood menu is a nice alternative to the heavy beef traditions.
An old fashioned deli with jolly Italian staff. It gets crowded, and can take awhile, but their sandwiches hit the spot. Grab a number, and spark a conversation with the guy next to you in line.
Beware of dive-bombing pigeons inside the restaurant (no lie), but the grub's worth the adventure. Every item is delicious: sopa de tortilla, fish tacos and chilaquiles. Get the carnitas tacos, spicy.
The menus change constantly to keep up with the seasonal ingredients. Il Cane Rosso is inspired by old Italian meaty fare, with the rotisserie as a focal point. Order at the counter, and find a seat.
We love these small food “store front” establishments. Some of our favorite meals have been served here. Boulette’s Larder is fresh and local, with a perfect salad or sando for any day of the week.
The official bar of the ad ghetto. On a nice, summer night, the crowd spills into the street, and if you’re not careful the hours, and bartab, get away from you. A comparison to Cheers is eminent.
One of the newest Jackson Square neighborhood additions, Barrique offers a unique wine-tasting experience. The bar acts as a communal table where the ‘tender pours wine straight from the barrels.
Known for it’s prime outdoor deck, Pier 23 is a happy hour staple for the Northeast corner of SF. Get a bucket of Coronas and some apps. I like the Burrata Plate (not on the menu!) and the Sliders.
Tucked in an alley behind Stripper Row, 15 Romolo is a quiet, nondescript speakeasy that serves light, local foods with strong, tasty cocktails.
I’m including this as a sports bar solution that’s close by. Not that this is the best in the city, but if you’re looking to catch the end of the Giants game on the way home, this is convenient.

Should the agency and a client need a private dining experience, Kokkari has the perfect room, and cuisine that brings a group together. It’s all delicious, you can’t order wrong.
Tucked down a quiet alley, Bix stands alone. Consistently on the Chronicle’s Top 100 Restaurant list, nothing in San Francisco means old glamour like this.
This is a keeper. The food? Amazing! Fresh popovers accompany the delicious house specialty: Fried Chicken! But there’s more: you must order the Mac-N-Cheese, Deviled Eggs, and Bacon-Wrapped Dates.
Ceviche is from Peru, and it’s delicious. Drowned in citrus, raw seafood is combined with other fresh ingredients. There is a fun bar on the Embarcadero side, if you want to just sip some wine.
The food is consistently good, and perfect for a big group to share multiple dishes. The rolls are yummy, and I always order the Shaking Beef.
Prices are high, I guess you pay for convenience. For lunch, there’s a great salad bar, and tons of panini sandwiches over in the deli. These are more moderately priced.
