People! Good scotch eggs are hard to come by. Egg wrapped in sausage (what?!) and then deep fried (!!!), served with killer spicy mustard.
don't be afraid of the haggis! it's pretty good and, if anything, pretty mild. dig into their scotch book (it really is as long as a book) and get at least one scotch egg.
Everything is great. The scotch egg, the Sunday roast, all the cocktails, especially the whiskey based ones. I don't think you can wrong at this place.
the best seats in the place: at the upstairs bar (much less crowded). if you're feeling light, small plates: pork scratchings, scotch egg, etc. if you're hungry: lamb burger, pork belly, etc.
