While technically not in a Hutong, this family run Japanese is hard to find, and well worth the hunt. Offering a buzzing atmsphere you will fill you've discovered a well kept secret.
If you're coming here or breakfast/brunch on the weekend, make sure to make a reservation ahead of time. It can get crowded, especially as the weather gets warmer.

This tiny restaurant is always packed and for food reason - expect to wait if you arrive during the evening rush. The twice-cooked pork (回鍋肉) and bitter melon stir fried with pork are both delicious.
