Rachel K: Do a tour here, if you can. Completely different view of making beer than your typical brewery tour. August is harvest season if you want to see the action.
Rachel K: One of the calmer sites in this world heritage site. Lots of stairs and make sure you view the gate to the tomb of Tokugawa Iemitsu, around back of the main temple.
Rachel K: This place is rightfully a treasure. Beautiful. Find the original "hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil" monkeys, but look at the other monkey panels. They tell the monkey's life journey!
Rachel K: Ask for a local ingredient inspired drink! Mine had Japanese rum, plum liqueur and herb liqueur and was very spirit forward. Trust that the bartenders know their craft well.
Rachel K: Perfect vegetarian experience in Tokyo! Have your hotel call and day what you don't eat (fish, beef or fish stocks, egg, etc) and they will make your meal perfectly.
Rachel K: Two Michelin starred vegetarian restaurant in Japan. Love. Beautiful service. Have your hotel call and specific if you are true vegetarian (no fish stocks) or vegan if you're strict.
