Feeding the giraffes is awesome and worth it ( they have super soft noses)- Walk around the entire loop and check each viewpoint to find the bear. In hot weather, they like to rest in the water or shade areas
- The Zoo is planning on building a new exhibit for the tigers. The upcoming event, Walk in the Wild is a fundraiser for the project. You can also donate at the front gate
Get the membership! We have been 3 times with the kids and it has more than paid for itself!- The cheetahs typically lay in the shade either in the far right corner or along the left side of the exhibit near the fence

Come check out the komodo dragons, orangutans, lions, tigers and so much more. Get a membership and enjoy discounts around the park and unlimited entry for the year.
Don't forget the hours changed this month. I did :-( that means it's a month or so before it is comfortable to go to the zoo again.
Come on a Monday or Tuesday early in the season to avoid the crowds. Buy and print your tickets in advance.- Lions typically sleep 18 to 20 hours a day. The best time to see them active is early in the morning or late afternoon
Hollie Sickมีนาคม 1, 2015You can do this zoo in about 2 hours. Really nice, inexpensive tourist area- Check both outdoor yards and the inside rooms to find the 4 orangutans. They often have access to choose where they want to be.
- Look around the exhibits for the dragons. If its warm out they will most likely be in the shade. If its cooler they'll be in the sun.

Marathon has closed nearly all entry to the zoo. Had to drive on Scottsdale, to Curry heaf west, to Mill head northwest, to Priest/Galvin Parkway north

Definitely get a membership! You don't have to worry about seeing everything during busy days and the sprayground is a huge success with the kids during the summer!
