Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good prices. Try Rijsttafel, it's mix of various Indonesian dishes. Delicious. 75.000 per person (at least 2). It was prepared surprisingly fast, go for it :-)
Really simple place but the price/value ratio is unbelievable! 20.000 for a large, typical Indonesian meal, great taste. If you are nearby, you must try it at least once. Perfect for lunch.
Enjoy the sunset in one of many restaurants/cafés on the beach. At night have shi-sha and listen to the live music under the stars. Can be a bit loud.
Nice long wide beach, not many tourists, high waves which are really fun. Enter the water between two red-orange flags, it should be relatively safe there. Cold drinks on the beach for good price.
One of the best restaurants in Ubud according to TripAdvisor. Food was really great, staff extremely friendly. If going for dinner, make a reservation in advance (1 day) or try to come later (9 pm).
It's a hidden gem in the middle of rice fields, just 15 minutes of walk from the center of Ubud. Prices are a bit higher but the view is totally worth it!

Don't miss the pond where the spring is coming from the ground, it's from where all the holy water is coming from. Avoid full moon and new moon days when it's supposed to be crowded.
Taco rice is really good, 35.000 Rp. It's rice, green salad, spiced mashed tomatoes, some soft cheese + egg (+ 2.000 Rp). Friendly atmosphere, cozy place.
Try one of the combo menu, they are around 300 - 500 k Rp. and it's including rice, drink, amazing sunset.. Arrive before 5:30 to get a table without reservation.
Try tapas of Indonesian food. 12 tapas for 115.000 Rp., ideal for 2 people. Red rice pudding is a delicious dessert (30.000 Rp.), recommend.
