On Buford Highway. The best bahn mi in Atlanta. And probably the cheapest, too. Check out the adjacent Asian stores in Buford Plaza.
Decatur. Modern Spanish cuisine, fun atmosphere and great drinks. Get the lomo di cerdo for dinner. And definitely try their bacon Old-Fashioned - it is incredible.
Midtown. Here's your contemporary Southern fix. Shrimp and grits, plus a whole lot more. Go for brunch and have the crab cake hash.
Buckhead. One of Atlanta's best restaurants. Slow food. Beautiful dining room. Get the warm lobster cocktail to start. And you must have dessert! I love the Valrhona chocolate cream pie.
Sandy Springs. The best cupcakes in the city. Get the Marie Antoinette which has raspberry in the middle and European buttercream on top.
Virginia–Highland and Dunwoody. Come here for cheese, fresh bread and pastries, house made chocolates, coffee, tea. Don't miss the homemade macarons – I love the raspberry chocolate ones.
South Buckhead. Go here for hand-crafted cocktails and a great bar scene. Get there early (9 pm) and put your name on the list for a 10pm burger. Juicy, delicious and in huge demand/small supply.
This upscale Mexican is a stand-out downtown. Authentic eats, a huge tequila selection and great service. Get one of the Huaraches. In an office building!
